Pivot
What’s the scariest thing I’ve ever done?
Not the career shift.
Not starting over at 46.
Not the loss of what was.
It was choosing to PIVOT.
Because pivoting asks you to pause…
when everything in you wants to panic.
So I created a tool inside the Grounded Joy Method that I now live by and teach:
P.I.V.O.T.
P — Pause
Before reacting, before spiraling… create space. This is where your nervous system begins to regulate.
I — Insight
Tune inward. Your body holds wisdom. Your gut, your breath, your inner voice—they know before your mind does.
V — Versus
Notice the tension between what you feel and what you think you should do.
O — Overthinking
Overthinking disconnects you. It pulls you out of your body and into fear, doubt, and loops.
T — Thinking (aligned thinking)
Return to grounded, intentional thought—where your decisions feel steady, not rushed.
As a former athlete, I think of a two-foot jump stop in basketball.
You don’t rush. You land. You stabilize.
And from there… you pivot.
Forward. Back. New direction.
But always from a place of grounded control.
Life asks us to pivot in so many seasons:
• Identity shifts
• Career changes
• Burnout
• Empty nesting
• Caregiving
• Divorce
That space of “what now?” can feel overwhelming…
but it’s also where your next chapter begins.
I’m in it too.
Living it. Navigating it. Choosing it.
And I’m here as a resource for you—
to help you move through your pivots with more clarity, calm, and grounded joy.
Save this as your reminder:
You don’t need to rush your next move.
You just need to pause long enough to feel it.
If you’re in a pivot season right now, comment “PIVOT” or message me.
I have space for a few women ready to reconnect, reset, and move forward with intention.
