D. Dopamine = Motivation, pleasure, focus

Dopamine is what gives you that feeling of: “I want to take action.” But when your nervous system is overwhelmed…You either: chase quick hits (scrolling, snacking, distractions) or feel completely unmotivated. Both are signs of dysregulation.

Your brain is trying to cope, not create. Inside my work, we don’t force motivation…We rebuild it through:

O. Oxytocin = Connection, love/bonding

You can feel lonely, even in a full life. Oxytocin is your connection hormone. It’s what allows you to feel: safe, seen, supported. But when your nervous system is dysregulated…You might:

S. Serotonin = Emotional Stability/Mood Stabilizer

Serotonin is your emotional anchor. It’s what helps you feel: steady, confident, at ease. But when your system is off…You might feel: anxious one moment, flat the next, reactive or overwhelmed. This isn’t “just your mood.” It’s your nervous system asking for support.
